I love a good underdog story......
We have been in this position before and come out on top, why not do it again this weekend.
I have been fortunate to name another strong Aireborough squad to go to Leeds Corinthians in what will be a tough task.
In the forwards we see a couple of changes. With Rich Lister and Lewis Eastwood both unavailable, the front row sees the evergreen Tim Baxter at loose head, Nick Jackson at hooker and Martyn Booth at tight head.
The 2nd row sees Simon 'Big John' Hill partnered by the returning Jonny Hiles.
Alan Justham starts this week at blindside flanker, with Chris Chapman moving to openside and regular No. 8 Jonny 'Middle John' Mackey assumes his usual role.
Stu Wilson continues as the starting scrum half alongside Captain Olle Catherall who takes the 10 shirt.
In the centres, we partner Nick Holdsworth with Mikey Dolan who has proved he is more than capable in this, an unaccustomed position for the regular openside flanker.
On the wings, we hand another senior debut to a product of the youth system in the guise of 17 year old Will Marchbank. On the other wing, we have hot stepper Jamie Sykes. The back 3 is completed by Harley Stevenson-Cocks who slots into full back.
On the bench we have Luke Exley, Freddie Armstrong, Dan Marchbank, Adam Bishop and Joe White who will all add valuable contributions during the course of the game.
Kick off is 3pm.
See you there,
Si
