Our Aireborough RUFC under 14s are never afraid to try something different, and this week was no exception! Aireborough and Wharfedale Judo Club, based at Aireborough Leisure Centre, kindly delivered a bespoke session for our young players to help them in close contact on the field, and have a lot of fun. The evening was a great success, with all the boys thoroughly enjoying the session that included a variety of holds and games, whilst celebrating the respect that both Judo and Rugby Union expects of its’ participants. Coach Rob Rattray said, “we’re all really grateful to everyone at Aireborough and Wharfedale Judo Club for hosting us. All of the boys were beaming from ear-to-ear afterwards, and can’t wait to have another go which we will hopefully be able to do in the new year.”
