One Beat Closer to Safety - Learn CPR, Save Lives!

Last night, Aireborough RUFC held a crucial CPR training session, with a variety of attendees including coaches, parents & several members of the under 15's squad. The event was made possible by the invaluable contribution of Glynn from St. John's Ambulance, who kindly volunteered his time.

Whilst Glynn presented on cardiac issues in all areas of the community he gave a good focus on the relationship between sport and cardiac arrests, Glynn's expertise shed light on the importance of immediate response in such situations. Furthermore, the session served as a catalyst for community action, as donations were collected for a local defibrillator fund. These funds will be utilised in the local area to ensure that defibrillators can be stocked with essential replacement pads as and when they are used for life saving emergencies.

It's great to see members of our club showing commitment to players, members and supporters of our own rugby club but also emphasizes their commitment to the well-being of the broader community.
