Match Preview

This week sees the Aireborough Crusaders welcome Huddersfield 3rd XV to Nunroyd Park for another Merit Table clash. Like many games last season, this fixture was a tough test, with Aire losing narrowly at home but coming out the victors in the away leg. The Crusaders will be without captain James Underwood and full back Marty Jones, called up to the 1st XV squad, but have more than enough quality in this week's squad to better Huddersfield. After a lack of players (through injury and shift patterns) forced a forfeit to Halifax Dukes, this strong Crusaders setup will look to make amends and add to the two bonus point wins already achieved so far this season (Keighley Academy and Ensians, with a spirited defeat to North Ribblesdale 2XV also coming in September).
