This weekend we travel to top of the league Wensleydale.
Still looking to cement our league status, we have been hit by a number of injuries and unavailability. That said, we travel in confidence and will play a free spirited style of rugby.
In the front row, midweek captain Tim Baxter starts at loose head, he is joined by Martyn Booth at Hooker and Richard Lister at tight head.
The 2nd row has a familiarity about it with Sy 'Big John' Hill partnered by the up and coming Freddie Armstrong.
in the back row, Jonny 'Middle Jon' Mackey moves from his usual number 8 birth to blindside flanker, captain Chris Chapman moves across from blindside to openside and hard hitting Luke Exley starts at number 8.
There has been a shuffle in the backs as flanker Harry Beckwith starts at scrum half. His half back partner this week is the young Dan Marchbank who starts at stand off.
We continue with our youthful look in the backs as Mikey 'Little John' Dolan lines up at inside centre with Lewis Myers starting at outside centre.
We have experience out wide in the guise of Kris Brook (left wing) and Tony Clitheroe (right wing) while young gun Jamie Sykes goes into his preferred position of fullback.
The bench will see front row Tom Helliwell make his 1st XV league debut, he is joined by Alex Waugh, another product of our youth set up who will also make his 1st XV league debut. Crusaders vice captain Marty Jones steps up alongside Luke Buchan who will make his 2nd league appearance this season for the wolfpack.
There are always a lot of points scored at Wensleydale between us and this week we hope that we are on the right side of the scoreboard.
Kick off is 3pm.
See you there,
Si
