Aire's season ends in cup semi

Last night Aire looked to press on with their Aire-Wharfe Cup campaign as they played a home semi-final vs Otley 2s.

A strong Otley side advanced to the final, having scored three quick tries down the left wing in the opening 10 mins.

A fightback from Aire either side of half time left the result in the balance with 10 to go, when unfortunatlely the conditions worsened and mistakes cost Aire the chance to finish their comeback.

Winning six tries to four, Otley were good for their 39 points, and we wish them well in the final.

As it's the final match report of the season, we'd like to wish supporters well for the summer. A couple of things to mention: we have exciting plans to announce at the AGM on the 16th May, which we hope you'll make every effort to attend; the dinner dance is on 18th May (tickets available here); and, we'll soon be announcing a new partnership including a discount for members at a local watering hole.
